NCHA Scholarship Fund

The North Carolina Horseshoer’s Association has established a scholarship fund.   Scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded each year based on the availability of funds. 

The scholarship recipients will be determined by the NCHA Board of Directors.  All decisions are final.

Requirements/ Criteria


Qualified applicants will meet these criteria:
  • Explain how their major or field of study relates to the NCHA’s mission statement.
  • Be a resident of North Carolina or a resident of the state of your sponsoring NCHA member
  • Have been accepted by an institute of higher learning (2-year or 4-year college or trade school)
  • Have a letter of recommendation from a current member of the NCHA who has been a member in good standing for at least one year. Visit our Find A Farrier page for a list of members.
  • Be postmarked by March 25th

The purpose of the North Carolina Horseshoers Association (NCHA), Inc., is to organize and promote excellence in the art and science of farriery, and to define, maintain, and improve the quality of craftsmanship and standard of ethics within the Association. The NCHA will in no way interfere with a farrier’s clientele, territory, or prices.
